How Does the Procedure Work?
At DP MediSkin, we perform the procedure using Fotona 4D laser. This advanced and innovative hand piece technology offers non-invasive, multi-use laser treatment. It has a dual laser wavelength system: Nd:YAG and Er:YAG. The Nd:YAG laser wavelength targets deeper skin layers, penetrating deep in the skin while the Er:YAG laser light targets uppermost layers of the skin. The laser release heat which is delivered in pulses. It has variable pulse duration making it suitable for different skin conditions. It’s designed to target different skin imperfection and optimise the results, leading to younger, smoother, and tighter skin.
The treatment is administered as a four-dimensional plan. The unique combination of the different modes targets medial, deeper and superficial structures of the skin. Each step has a specific role all optimized to remove the facial imperfection and leave your skin rejuvenated. The following are the steps involved:
- Smoothliftin
It involves using the laser intra-orally to rejuvenate tissues inside the mouth. The treatment targets tightening the lines around the mouth and plumping the overall face.
- FRAC3
This mode uses a long pulse to heat the deeper layers of the skin using the Nd:YAG wavelength. It targets deeper and specific skin imperfections. This wavelength is directed to the specific area without harming the surrounding tissues, and triggers the production of collagen and elastin fibres.
- PIANO
The piano mode involves fast bulk tissue heating without damaging the epidermis. This results in contracting and tightening of the skin layers.
- SupEerficial
The SupEerficial stage is a polishing peel which removes dead skin cells and restores a more youthful and brighter face. It gives the skin a smoother finish.
All of these procedures result in enhanced collagen production and cellular renewal. The process is much safer and less invasive.

Is this Treatment Painful?
The procedure is not painful, and most patients report the treatment to be comfortable. However, you may feel a mild sensation during the process, but it’s tolerable. Any persistent sensation clears up in a few hours. The Fotona 4D laser is highly precise and enables a highly controlled laser treatment. This helps to prevent/minimise any undesirable side effects.

How Many Treatments do I Need?
The number of sessions required depends on the individual client. We recommend a series of 4 treatments spaced a month apart in order to gain maximum benefits. However, changes can be noted after the first treatment. Our Dermal Clinician will assess your condition and tailor a perfect plan to achieve your desired results. Maintenance treatments are also necessary for long-lasting results.

What is 4D Laser Facelift?

This is a painless laser rejuvenation treatment done intra-orally and targets the delicate tissues inside the mouth. The treatment results in tightening of the skin on the exterior of the face, around the chin, nasolabial folds, and mouth.
